Shape of Memory

Memory does not arrive whole. It returns as colour, pattern, body, shadow, and gesture.

Shape of Memory as an exploration of the inner life of remembrance: the way experience settles into the body, into fabric, into fragments of form and colour. These works are not literal portraits, but emotional landscapes shaped by what is carried, inherited, and half-remembered.

The figures appear through layers of pigment, ink, texture, and abstraction. They hold traces of culture, domesticity, longing, and silence, but never as fixed stories. Each work leaves space for the viewer’s own memory to enter.

Shape of Memory is about the human figure as an archive. What remains is not the event itself, but its afterimage.
